Larry is passionate about the development of leadership ability in others. He has more than 20 years experience in the private and public sectors in management and leadership development. Larry is President of Reframe Leadership Inc., a company specializing in high impact leadership development, team effectiveness and coaching. Larry also served as a faculty member for the University of Alberta School of Business and Executive Education.
His leadership experience includes serving as Executive Director of Leadership Development at The Banff Centre, Managing Director of Ajilon Management Consulting services in Ottawa, and over 13 years in various Army command positions with the Canadian Forces in both Germany and the former Yugoslavia. He has a B.A. in Strategic Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, an M.B.A. from Queen's University and is certified in Harvard's Immunity to Change and Difficult Conversations process. Larry is also a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and a Certified Presence–Based Coach.
Larry works with several Top 10 and Top 50 Companies in Canada and the US. He has vast experience in designing and delivering high impact leadership and management development experiences to organizations such as Canadian Blood Services, City of Edmonton School of Business, Coril Group, Nexen, Marks Work Wearhouse, TransAlta, EnCana, Farm Credit Canada, The Family Centre Edmonton, Ducks Unlimited, the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, Alberta Agriculture, the Government of the Cayman Islands, The Alberta Conservation Association, SaskPower Corporation and others.
Larry is a sought after coach and facilitator. His primary areas of expertise include deep leadership development at the identity level, coaching, facilitation, increasing self-awareness, building organizational culture, enhancing communication effectiveness, conflict resolution, understanding generational differences, as well as systems thinking and strategic planning.
Additional certifications include the Character Foundations Assessment, the Strength Deployment Inventory, the CCL Conflict Dynamics Instrument, the Situational Leadership 360° Assessment inventory, the Harvard Negotiation Projects Difficult Conversations, and many others. He is also certified in outdoor experiential teambuilding techniques.
